Hi, welcome to my design web site. My name is Eric Marshall I am an instructional and graphic designer. I am located in the SF Bay area. I have recently completed my MA degree in Instructional Technology at San Francisco State University. Prior to that I have been working primarily as a graphic designer. My design work has been in both web and print graphics. The ability to put my graphic design background and software skills together with instructional design training has been very helpful. I began as an intern while completing my studies at SFSU and was subsequently hired as a contractor. My present job is to develop instruction supporting the manufacture of genetically engineered pharmaceuticals. This industry is highly regulated by the FDA and our training must be very detail oriented and extensively documented. We create both instructor led and online training.

While in my current position I have been fortunate to work with and learn from a wonderful team of instructional designers. There are four full time IDs and 3 contractors in my department. Our design process basically follows the ADDIE model. I collaborate with a wide variety of subject matter experts. These people's field of expertise ranges from scientist to business leader. I enjoy their high level of professionalism and dedication.
